About

About Fiery Feet

Fiery Feet Dance Studio was launched in Leamington Spa and the surrounding villages of Harbury and Bishops Tachbrook in 2005 by Sara Evans. Workshop style classes soon developed into sessions offering examination work with the British Theatre Dance Association, as well as students having the opportunity to participate in our annual production. Over the years Fiery Feet has gone from strength to strength, with the majority of  classes now running from our purpose built dance studio on Windsor Place. Fiery Feet lessons are also offered at Warwick Preparatory School, Kings High School, Harbury C of E Primary School, Edmonscote Infant School and All Saints Junior School. We now have wonderful team of instructors that take great pride in offering classes that build confidence, develop knowledge, improve technique and are always fun-filled too.
Within our studio timetable we cover BTDA classical ballet, modern jazz, tap, acrobatics, lyrical and contemporary. Our ‘combination’ classes are very popular, with students covering three or four subjects each week, and spending June – November working through examinations and December – May working toward our annual show. We also offer ‘single subject’ classes which work toward examinations throughout the whole year. For adults, we offer ‘Balle-xercise’ (a ballet based fitness class) as well as an ‘Improvers’ adult tap class which is lots of fun. Fiery Feet is also home to a number of other fitness classes for adults. These include ‘Flowetic’, ‘Pole Fitness’ and ‘Zumba’ (please see our full timetable for details).
Each year, students from our ‘combination’ classes work toward our annual show, which takes place at the Royal Spa Centre during May (just prior to the May half term.) Students look forward to the opportunity to showcase some of their skills to friends and family, and is the highlight of the Fiery Feet calendar for many of our dancers (and teachers too!) Always involving lots of glitz and glamour, smiles (and sometimes tears) from the audience, and of course tonnes of hair gel, our show is a chance for students to build confidence and have a great time!

Fiery Feet is affiliated with the British Theatre Dance Association, the head quarters of which are in Leicester, but whose syllabus extends right across the world (from Leamington to Dubai and everywhere in between!) Their grade structure is designed for gradual and thorough progression, with one level very much laying the foundation for the next. The Graded Qualifications Alliance is the awarding arm of the British Theatre Dance Association, with the high graded work being able to contribute to UCAS points if needed. Whilst quite formal, both examiners and teachers are also keen to ensure that taking an exam is a positive, professional and enjoyable experience for all students. Fiery Feet has up to seven exam sessions a year, so there is always lots of opportunity for a student to progress.
