The show is a wonderful opportunity for our Fiery Feeters to showcase their skill, as well as build confidence and make new friends. There will be lots of hard work involved but amazing memories will be made and plenty of fun had…

Easter holidays

After speaking with the teaching team we have decided to run show lessons only on the following dates in the Easter holidays. We are very aware that we have less lessons than usual in the run up to the show so please aim to attend:

Saturday 1: All classes, times as normal

Monday 3 April: All classes, times as normal

Tuesday 4 April: Juniors as normal, Inters 4.45-6.45, Seniors 6.45-8.45

Wednesday 5 April: Acro Show Class 5.30-7.00

Tuesday 11 April: Juniors as normal, Inters 4.45-6.45, Seniors 6.45-8.45

Wednesday 12 April: Acro Show Class 5.30-7.00

Friday 14 April: Stage Class 1 & 2 as normal, Stage Class 3 5.45-6.45, Stage Class 4 6.45-7.45

Saturday 15 April: Show classes only, times as normal

Additional Costs…

Costumes – We source all the main items for each student, though we may ask you to provide certain smaller items such as tights. All items may be taken home by dancers after the final performance. Please keep them neat, as from next year we will be embarking on a ‘sell on’ scheme.

Stage tights – No more than £10.00: Most groups will require a pair of stage tights – we will confirm this nearer the time.

Footwear (e.g. ballet shoes, tap shoes, jazz shoes) – This is dependent on which style of dance students are having – this will be confirmed in line with costumes.

Make Up – This is the same as our last show, specific details will be on our next letter. Most students will have their hair in a bun for the show, so hair gel, a bun net, grips etc. will also be required.

Rehearsals – There is a fee for all rehearsals that take place in addition to regular lessons.

Attendance & commitment…

Students must uphold a high level of attendance throughout the show work period; this applies to everyone. Every single Fiery Feeter counts in making our show as fabulous as possible, so being in lessons each week is very important.

Building that all-important team atmosphere can be hard if students are missing, and likewise with so much to cover each week catching up can be difficult.

Licensed Children…

Children who perform with multiple theatre groups/professional productions within the same 6 months of the Fiery Feet show may require a license, and a licensed chaperone to supervise them backstage. This does not include school or WAGS productions, but may include anything like panto (performances to the paying public at professional theatres etc.) Please let us know if this might apply to your child as soon as possible. Should your child require a license, you as their parent will be required to obtain a chaperone’s license and supervise them backstage.

Show makers…

It takes a whole team volunteers to run the show – dressers, chaperones, runners and security – there’s a role for everyone!

We are so grateful to those of you who volunteer year on year, but if you’re new to the Fiery Feet Family please step up and offer to help. There are 70 slots to fill, split across the dress rehearsal and performances if you can do just one it is a huge help.

We are an all female cast this year, therefore we are only looking for female help back stage, but we welcome male volunteers to the security team.

Costume & Rehearsal Payments

This year we will be utilising our new subscription system to spread show costs out over three equal payments taken on the 1st April, May and June.

Show rehearsal fee: £30

Costumes: £35 each (Fireworks, Fireworks Plus, Infants, Juveniles, Juniors, Stage Class 1 & 2)

£40 each (Inters, Senior, Open, Acro, Ballet, Inter Lyrical, Advanced Lyrical, Stage Class 3 & 4)

Please note that these fees are non-refundable, and some classes are learning two dances, details are on the following page.
