Newsletter March 2023

How is it March already?! We have had an extremely busy first quarter of the year with so much to report…

Exam Success

We’ve just received our exam results from the February sessions and we’re delighted to say that we continue with our 20 year 100% pass rate! The teachers will have this week to look through them and they will then be given out in lessons.

February Half term – Intensive Show Week

Our Intensive Show Week was jam packed with new skills, choreography and plenty of fun! Don’t forget that we’ll be running our performing arts camp this Summer too which will be available to book via Class4Kids soon.

Even the teachers have been training

During half term the FF team updated their first aid training. We had lots of fun bandaging each other up, added defibrillator training to our skills and practised administering an epi pen. Fingers crossed we never need to put these skills in to practice but we all passed the course with flying colours.

What’s new on the timetable?

We’ve added some new classes to our timetable recently and refined age groups for others, if you fancy trying anything new don’t forget that everyone is eligible for a free trial.

Intensive show week – February half term

This is something new and exciting we’re bringing to the studio this February half term. Four days of workshops and choreography to get our Fiery Feeters in the mood for show work. This week is available to book on our booking page NOW for students from year 1 up. Students will be split into two age groups and spaces are limited to 15 in each.

Our 2023 annual show

Our show this year also marks our 20th birthday…so we’re going all out! Please make sure that if you attend any of the following classes that you have the dates in your diary.

Fireworks, Fireworks Plus, Infants, Juveniles, Juniors, Inters, Seniors, Open & Acro Show.

If your class isn’t listed don’t worry, we are also working on creating more performing opportunities for our littlest dancers and classes that traditionally haven’t been involved in the show.

Coming up…

As mentioned previously, our students Lucie and Maisie successfully auditioned to perform as part of Imagine Theatres production Cinderella which was on at the Royal Spa Centre in December.

Fiery Feet is 20!!

March marks our 20th Anniversary and wow what a journey it has been! To celebrate we are having a series of celebrations starting with a party on Saturday 25 March, to raise money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

We hope to see lots of you there!

Our 2023 Annual Show

Our show this year celebrates 20 years of creating amazing dance memories with iconic music from past shows, pieces that we as teachers have loved, as well as some dances that we feel will go on to be those stand out memories. Please make sure you read the show information letter which is accessed further down this email.

Bank Holidays and the Kings Coronation

May usually comes with its fair share of Bank Holidays but this year is special with the King’s Coronation weekend also falling in May. We have decided to close over this weekend, but we will lay on replacement lessons as detailed below.

We ask that parents and students alike support all our efforts by attending these lessons, it is not ideal, but it is also vital during the last few weeks on the run up to the show.

Sunday 23rd April: Replacement lessons for Saturday 6 May, times as normal

Monday 1st May: Replacement lesson for Monday 8 May, times as normal

Saturday 6 and Monday 8 May: Fiery Feet will be closed to enable families to celebrate the King’s Coronation.
