Happy new year!

We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and managed to get some rest in amongst the madness of your festivities. We have so much going on at FFHQ – we have added more new classes (more information below), launched our new booking system and a new look website is on the way to make ordering uniform even easier!

Exam Success

We’ve kicked off the year by receiving an absolutely amazing set of exam results! Congratulations to all our students who took part in November, we couldn’t be prouder! These results mean we are now in our 20th year of holding a 100% pass rate! Additionally, we had a huge amount of Honours Star and Platinum Distinctions awarded, meaning these students gained 90% or more!

New Classes

Thank you to everyone who transferred over to our new booking system, change isn’t always easy, but your help in doing this is very much appreciated and will make the running of things much easier.

With this we’ve also introduced; an extra Sparklers class, Lyrical for Juvenile & Juniors, Adult Ballet, Adult Commercial and Dance 4 Dancers! All classes are live on the booking page should you wish to add a class to your week.

Fiery Feeter from 2004 – 2010

After enjoying a professional dance career for 10 years which took her all over the world, Laura finally hung up her dance shoes and retrained as a Pilates instructor. She is now the proud owner of two Warwickshire based studios, one in Warwick and the other in Stratford. Be sure to check it out, ‘Form and Flow’ on Facebook or Instagram.

Examinations – 12 & 19 February

Our last exam sessions before show work will soon be here. Our dancers have been working so hard and it’s looking like there two bumper sessions. Unfortunately we are not able to accept requests for specific time or date, so if your child is entered please keep this in mind.

The process of entering/accepting an examination has slighted changed, you will receive an e-form stating that you’re child is ready for an exam(s) and you accept or decline this before you pay. This must be done promptly or we will presume are are unavailable. Examination fees are listed at the end of this newsletter and students are able to take up to three examinations on one day.

Intensive show week – February half term

This is something new and exciting we’re bringing to the studio this February half term. Four days of workshops and choreography to get our Fiery Feeters in the mood for show work. This week is available to book on our booking page NOW for students from year 1 up. Students will be split into two age groups and spaces are limited to 15 in each.

Our 2023 annual show

Our show this year also marks our 20th birthday…so we’re going all out! Please make sure that if you attend any of the following classes that you have the dates in your diary.

Fireworks, Fireworks Plus, Infants, Juveniles, Juniors, Inters, Seniors, Open & Acro Show.

If your class isn’t listed don’t worry, we are also working on creating more performing opportunities for our littlest dancers and classes that traditionally haven’t been involved in the show.

In the spotlight…

As mentioned previously, our students Lucie and Maisie successfully auditioned to perform as part of Imagine Theatres production Cinderella which was on at the Royal Spa Centre in December.

The production was amazing with Dame Dolly leading the cast through energetic dance numbers, songs and of course their own version of the 12 days of Christmas.

I loved the experience of being in a professional production and understanding what goes into the show. It was brilliant watching the adult performers and being able to learn from them. It was challenging to learn everything in such a short time and even through the run changes were made and we had to adapt quickly. I loved it and I’m so sad it is over.
